There are some exercises designed to reduce the visibility of cellulite. These are considered as short-term solutions to reduce cellulite like cellulite cream. Of course, if combined with an active and healthy lifestyle, you will see a better result. Among these exercises are the squats and lunges. Here is a guide to doing the exercises properly.
Squats (Chair Sits) Stand with feet hip distance apart with your toes, knees and hips in a straight line. Pull your belly button towards your spine and contract your abdominal muscles. Slowly lower your body, as though you are sitting in a chair. If you can, go down until your butt is in line with your knees (knees at 90-degree angles). If you can’t go down that low, go as low as you can.
Take a moment and look down make sure your knees are behind your toes. Keeping the weight in your heels, slowly push your body back to starting position. At the top of the movement, do not lock your knees.
Keep a slight bend in them. Repeat the movement 10 to 15 times, performing 1 to 3 sets. For each repetition, count to 3 on the way up and on the way down to ensure you’re not going too fast. Rest 30 to 60 seconds in between sets. Stretch your quadriceps and hamstrings after each set or after your final set, spending at least 10 to 15 seconds on each stretch.
“Around the clock” lunges Imagine yourself standing at the center of a clock, and starting with the right leg, assume a lunge position by putting your right foot on “twelve”.The knee should not go past the ankle whilst lunging, and the back should remain straight. To get the full benefits of doing lunges, engaging the abdominal by holding them in and tightening them is a good idea as well Continue this for every number on the clock.
A good way to start maybe by doing two sets of three reps, but as always, the best thing to do is determine the right intensity and repetition sequence of these exercises for cellulite reduction for you. These exercises help in the reduction of cellulite by improving the skin’s condition and by increasing the blood circulation to the thighs and butt.
