Velashape Cellulite Treatment

Velashape is a non-surgical medical device used for reshaping the body (reducing inches from the waist and thighs) and reducing the appearance of cellulite. It is primarily used on the thighs, buttocks, love handles, and abdomen. The procedure can only be done in medical center but claims to be painless and completely non-invasive.

How Does VelaShape Work?

The device has a combination of Bi-Polar Radiofrequency, Infrared Light Energy, and Vacuum and Mechanical Massage. The Velashape website claims that the Radiofrequency and Infrared energies heat both the surface and deeper layers of the skin tissue. Then the vacuum and massage rollers smooth out the skin over the targeted area and allow for thorough heat delivery. This combination supposedly increases the metabolism and lymphatic drainage in the skin and reduces the fat cells.

The manufacturers of Velashape say that at least 4 treatment sessions are needed to see dramatic results. After that, you will need "touch-up" sessions every 2-3 months.

Velashape Cost

Because of the frequency of the cellulite treatments needed to gain optimum results, Velashape can be very costly. Each session can cost an average of $250 and end up totaling up to $2,000 after all the recommended treatments! Combined with the fact that you have to keep coming back for maintenance treatments, this makes Velashape financially impossible for many individuals trying to get rid of cellulite.

Negatives

1. While their website goes into detail about how the Velashape treatment works and even references various studies and research that has been done, there is no proof or evidence of that research. It would be nice to see verification of those results so that consumers could see for themselves that the product actually does reduce cellulite.
2. Many users have complained that although the company claims Velashape is painless, it was actually quite painful and left bruises all over their bodies for days! Others saw no results at all from the cellulite treatments or only saw results for a very brief period of time.
3. There are many negative reviews of the VelaShape cellulite treatment by people who have used it-far more than have found it effective.
4. Velashape claims to have no negative side effects, however, any time you are dealing with Infrared light or Radiofrequency, it is best to be cautious. Long-term affects are yet unknown.
   

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is simply this: Velashape is not a long-term solution to cellulite. It might not even do anything for you except leave you black and blue! The latest technology and gadgets may seem to be a novel idea, but until they are tried and tested, it is best to leave them alone. There is no use to risking your health when simply changing your diet and lifestyle would be more effective in creating a healthier you!
